Oracle Database 12.1.0.2 Standard Edition 2がリリースされました！

Oracle Database 12.1.0.2 Standard Edition 2がリリースされました！

以下のURLからダウンロードが可能になっているようですが・・・現時点（2015/09/03時点）でうまくダウンロードできまない気がします・・・（アクセスが集中している？）

Standard Edition "2"とは？

• 12.1.0.1以前では、Enterprise Editionよりも小規模なシステム向けにStandard EditionとStandard Edition Oneが提供されていましたが、12.1.0.2以降はStandard EditionとStandard Edition Oneの提供は停止され、代わりにStandard Edition 2が提供されます。
• 製品の位置づけから、Standard EditionとStandard Edition Oneが使用可能なサーバのスペックには制限がありました。残念ながら、Standard Edition 2はStandard Editionよりも制限が厳しくなっています。
  • サーバの（搭載可能）ソケット数は最大で2 (従来のSEは4)
  • 同時使用可能CPUスレッド数は最大で16 (従来のSEでは制限なし)
• このため、Standard Editionで構成されたRAC、いわゆるSE RACに対する制限もきつくなっています。RACを構成する各サーバに適用される制限は以下の通りです。
  • ソケット数は1
  • 同時使用可能CPUスレッド数は最大で8

ソケット数に関する制限が厳しいですね、特にSE RAC・・・・ 確かに従来のStandard Editionでは、制限がソケット数のみであり、 マルチコア化が進む状況では若干緩めな制限だった気もします。 このため、同時使用可能CPUスレッド数に関する制限が追加されたのはある意味妥当な気もしますが、 ソケット数も減らされてしまったのは、Standard Editionユーザーには厳しいと思えます。

Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 may only be licensed on servers that have a maximum capacity of 2 sockets. When used with Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 may only be licensed on a maximum of 2 one-socket servers. In addition, notwithstanding any provision in Your Oracle license agreement to the contrary, each Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 database may use a maximum of 16 CPU threads at any time. When used with Oracle Real Application Clusters, each Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 database may use a maximum of 8 CPU threads per instance at any time. The minimums when licensing by Named User Plus (NUP) metric are 10 NUP licenses per server.
